We are pleased to offer Labour Support for parents during the critical hours before birth. I work closely with mid-wives, doulas and birthing professionals. Whether at home, water birthing or in hospitals. Where ever you choose to birth, I am pleased to attend! TESTIMONIALS:"Dear Kathy, Thank you soooo much for all your help...you helped us more than you can imagine, and we are very grateful to have met you and to have had you on our "dream team"! - P & J" , Vancouver "Dear Kathy, We would recommend your services and HypnoBirthing to anyone. We simply could not have had the birth we wanted without your presence and we are so grateful for having found you! - R & T" , Coquilam "Without the loving persistance of Kathy's presence, this would have been a C-Section for sure. I'm still not sure how she got me through it all, but I know I needed her every step of the way!" - D&M, New Westminster "Kathy, I could not have done this without you! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much" - S, Vancouver " Kathy, I am just so glad there are people in this world like you, so glad! " "Kathy I am so excited to meet you! You bring such energy to birthing changes." "Kathy, you bring such presence to the birthing room, and I would birth with you anywhere! You are such a positive and powerful force! I've watched you coax a mom past her fears, back into her body and through her birth! What you do is magic!" - L. Peters , Midwife, New. Westminster "Kathy, your love brings inspiration and hope to many. May this expand throughout the world, Blessings and Joy!" There are many more, however, these are a few that express the consistent presence I offer both parents during perhaps one of the most significant experiences of their lifes. Generally parents that are tired, overwhelmed and unsure of their footing in a hospital room, where all the rules are held be others, need a good strong support to ensure they achieve those magical births they hear about! It's perhaps the most powerful experience of a woman's life and if she feels disempowered, or that her birth was a failure, it can take a lifetime for her to allow herself to overcome that grief and bond with her litte one. Births sometimes medically NEED to receive the intervention! And thank God medical science is there today enabling the health of mother and child. That said, so often the need for speed in the birthing room, can intervene and C-Sections become the norm. While this is not the worst thing that can happen and we need to keep the best outcome for everyone , no matter the experience; a strong and empowered mother, celebrating all that happened! I see that as my task in the labour room, to ensure both parents know they did the best and met all the challenges, coming through it, loved and deeply in love with their new little infant. - Kathy Welter-Nichols Fee for Labour Support and attending: $500. I attend the residence and/or hospital from 4 cm through to final birth. During my attendance, I'm working constantly with mother and father to ensure they are maintaining peaceful ,calm, and relaxed states, using all the skills I've trained them with during our weeks of practice together. Often my support is key for fathers looking for a necessary break in the moment to recapture his balance. Assuring him is often key, as he becomes his wife's essential birthing partner. It's powerful work, perhaps the most significant time in a couples relationship and will set the tone for their parenting of this little one and their family enviroment! Strong positive birth experiences create strong dynamic families! - Kathy |
